Reverend John Edward Sanders is a father of five and a grandfather of seven, residing in North Augusta, South Carolina. He lives by four core principles: faith, family, friends, and fun. Reverend Sanders is enthusiastic about working in the community and helping others. For many years, he served as an Armor Bearer for Reverend Herman Bing, the former pastor of Carpenterville Baptist Church in North Augusta. He has also held the position of associate pastor under Reverend Dr. Otis Moss, III, and Reverend Dr. Charles E. Goodman at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia. Throughout his life, Reverend Sanders has been actively involved in his community, mentoring students at various elementary and high schools in the Aiken County School District. He is a member of the coaching staff for youth baseball and basketball teams for children with special needs, dedicating his time to these teams as much as his busy schedule allows.
Reverend John Edward Sanders is actively engaged in ministry through prayer, visiting the sick, and providing support to those in need throughout the community. A pancreatic cancer survivor, he has been in remission for over five years. As a resolute patient advocate for the Community Oncology Alliance (COA), he passionately promotes cancer awareness, prevention, and treatment. Two of Reverend Sanders' favorite scriptures are Romans 8:28: “And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose,” and 1 Peter 5:10: “After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Reverend Sanders feels blessed to be a blessing to others.
And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. (Hebrews 13:16)
